The BIGR Lab welcomes Mary Simpson!

Mary Simpson will be joining the BIGR Lab in the fall of 2023

We are very excited to share that Mary Simpson will be joining the lab and the social and personality psychology program at UIC as a doctoral student in the fall of 2023. Mary is currently a lab manager at Cornell University and she earned her B.A. in psychology at SUNY Geneseo. She is interested in how one’s beliefs, identities, and group memberships affects decision making and behavior in moral, political, and intergroup contexts. Her goal is to use insights gained from her research to promote positive social change. We cannot wait to see the amazing work that Mary will do and look forward to having the chance to work and learn with her for years to come!
